Both brands go beyond two wavelengths
Mito's current premium families use four, six or eight wavelengths depending on the series. PlatinumLED currently describes its BIOMAX line as a seven wavelength system using 480, 630, 660, 810, 830, 850 and 1060 nm.
PlatinumLED emphasizes independent array control
PlatinumLED says current BIOMAX units allow separate intensity control for the red and near infrared arrays, with separate control for the 480 nm blue LEDs. Mito's current higher tier panels also emphasize wavelength and mode configuration, but the control schemes are different.
Expansion is part of the decision
PlatinumLED offers multi light combinations and describes BIOMAX as modular. Mito also offers larger panel sizes and multi panel setups. Think about the final coverage you want before comparing smaller starting configurations.
More wavelengths still need context
A longer wavelength list can increase configuration options. It does not automatically prove better outcomes. If a wavelength matters because of a particular study or goal, read the underlying evidence and make sure the device protocol is actually comparable.
